Default Making a Popping noise when taking off from a stop

I have a 2007 PT cruiser Touring Edition that I just purchased last month.
When I'm at a stop sign and take off,*
I immediately hear and feel a pop in what sounds like*the front right of the car.
Same if I'm driving at a speed of under 20 mph and I let off the*gas pedal and then push it back down...pops again?
It drives smooth, doesn't pull to the right or left at full speed.
Could this be a wheel bearing.. ( doesn't make a growling sound at driving speed that ive read some have said ), a broken motor/transmission*mount*or ????
And as crazy as it sounds, it doesn't pop when its colder outside, but above 70 degrees...it happens?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Otherwise, I truly like the car...rides extremely rough, but still like it.

Ball joint or front control arm bushing I'm thinking. Bearings just growl and if left alone disintegrate.

could also be an engine mount. mine made some funny noises on the right when i'd break the bolt

you might have a helper watch while you loosely step on the brake and try to make the car do it shifting from forward to reverse a few times.

Don't forget to check the tie rod ends. Mine was making all sorts of unsettling sounds. I found some play in the RF tie rod end. When I realized I could get it to pop by rocking the steering wheel back and forth, I decided to replace the tie rod end. That cleared up most of the noise in my front end.

Thanks for all the opinions.
The engine does move backwards when I apply the brake and push down on the gas pedal. More than 1/2 inch.
Drove it again this morning and it will not make the popping noise until the temp outside warms up?
I'd think if it was a motor mount, wouldn't it do it all the time?
Makes no sense to me.
I called a Chrysler Dealership to ask ...Just in case its a Motor mount issue...give me a ballpark on the repair cost.
Ouch...He said the right front Motor mount part was the least expensive of the four...but he was looking at 10 hours shop time.
Told me it would be between $1200-$1400. !!!!
Guess if it turns out to be that, it won't be going to a Chrysler repair shop.
