Okay, I am getting ready to upgrade my PT's stock 16" chrome wheels to a 17x7.5 BBS RK II wheel. The BBS wheel weighs 21lbs. I know that the change to this wheel and all season performance rubber will improve handling, but, is this combination going to be signifigantly heavier than stock? If so, then I will have to trade off braking, speed and quickness for better handling.
So.... what is the weight of a stock 16" chrome PT wheel. 2003 touring edition. Thanks, Scott |

I just purchased a set of those for my base '03 to upgrade from the stock steel wheels. I weighed one and it came in @ 20.lbs without tires.
