will a 215-50-17 tire fit on a 2in lowered pt?

It should. I've got 225/45-17's on mine with GoldLine 2" rear/1.5" front drops and not a hint of a problem. Unless I'm mistaken, my configuration actually gives me slightly taller sidewall than yours, so you should have a touch more room.

In fact, I wonder if your configuration may be off by enough to mess up your speedo.

Mike,
Your sideall height is less than 3/8" from stock. Going to a 235 would alter this to saome degree. Think that's why I went with the Dunlop 225 originally.

Should not be a problem at all ! I am running 235/45 17's with a 2" drop and never had an interference problem at all .

Quite right, but don't you think the size mentioned by souptownyamaha might be just a touch out of "spec" (for lack of a better term)?
