Default new rims for PT

I'm thinking on putting new rims on my PT. I want to get the stock chrome 16" you find on the Limited on my classic. My question is will they throw my Spedometer off given the fact they are OEM for the series and two, how much of a difference will there be in the ride. I don't know much about cars and am trying to learn. So forgive my neophyte questions.

I don't know what size wheels and tires you are running now.
It really depends what size tires you go with. For example
my stock tires 205/55/R16 and my tires I'm ruunning are
225/50/R16 a little wider but about the same height,so pretty
much the same.Tire sizes are strange.

If you go to 16 the 225/50R16 are great they are
wider and they really look good on the Cruiser and they
work well with your Cruiser. I run the good4ayear 205/55r16's
in the winter.I believe you have got 195/60R15 on now. Right?
If you go to the 16's the ride will be about the same. The
site Grouch gave you is great.

thanks guys. I always have loved this forum. Everyone is willing to help everyone. From noob (me) to the "experts". I know you can get your spedo calibrated at several places, is there a way to calibrate the Odometer like the spedo to new tires and is it really worth it?

If you follow the plus1 / plus2 sizing etc, you shouldn't need to recalibrate anything. You can get a 16" tire with the same diameter as your 15". The car doesn't really care about the size of the wheels, just the diameter of the tire. Check the tire calculator posted here earlier. If you are running a 195/60/15 now, and switch to 205/50/16, you would have to go 170mph before your speedo was off by 1 mph....heres another tire calculator, little simpler...

Good luck

How come "The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903)?
