Default Weird Tire wear

The inner part of both of my front tires have worn funny. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, What have you done to correct the problem? The first one is the drivers side and the second is the passenger side.

Get your PT to a service shop that does alignments. Firestone has some of the best equipment and generally a certified alignment technician (as per their companies requirements) You have a few things going on. The balance is not correct , alignment ( after you get new>) have suspension parts that need servicing and ....well you need new tires.

When shopping tires on a PT Cruiser, IMHO most anything works very well. Unless you plan on specialty driving don't get caught up in advertising of member HYP. I currently have a set of very inexpensive Nankang NS.for Daley and week end trips on a set of older PT 5 spoke Chrome wheels. They have been through rain, snow, mud and dry road conditions and seem to be ok.

I would get an alignment if all the suspension parts are in good condition. That's from too much toe in and/or too much negative camber, IMO

I am getting new front tires Monday morning and will ask the guys at the shop to check all the suspension parts out to make sure everything is in good working condition. I will also ask them about where they recommend me bringing it because they don't have an alignment machine

After you get it aligned, would you post a pic of the before and after print out they give you?

That looks like typical camber wear. Too much negative camber. Going to need shims if it was in the rear, or the alignment bolt if it was the front.

If the wear has ridges, where you feel high and low spots, then it is suspension parts (9/10 times it is the strut/shock).

There is more...look carefully again.. This is a test..LOL kidding!

You covered most things.

I am sure (confident) that who ever looks to do the alignment (certified alignment tech) will find all the concerns.

I would look at the ball jounts, bushings, and of course the tie rods. You're toed out causing both tires to point out on the front instead of straight.

Ask around on the alignment. Reputation is better that paper.
