For the price, I would bet they are actually a ceramic blend.
At about 8-12% ceramic, you can advertise as ceramic pads. The CMX-7716 NAPA ceramic pads I install for my customers are 100% ceramic. The SS-7716-X pad is the ceramic blend from NAPA. Their Safety Stop (SS) pads are available in a ceramic blend for many applications, but I would never use them. CMX-7716 = $87.88 SS-7716-X = about $35 I would insist on the MSDS safety sheet for the cheapo ceramic pads to determine the composition. |
