If I wanted to go to 17x7 wheels and tires for a 2003 base model cruiser with 15x8's on there now is there anything I would have to do or change on the car? (Front disc rear drum Brakes).I tried to delete but no trasha can comes up

I got 17x7 Boyd Coddington Smoothies on a 2002 base model. I'm using 225x45 Conti Extereme Contact tires with no problems, just look out for potholes.

No,The only thing, depending on what size tire you go with
the speedo might be off a little.
