Default Recommend new CV Axles to me

On my 2003 Base the boots are going out on my CV axles. The shop I trust says it's better off to just replace the CVs with new ones as the work to replace the boots is not worth it.

What CVs do you recommend? I'm looking at doing this myself as they want around $450-$500 parts and labor.

150K on it. I would like to keep it for another 100K or so.

Believe it or not, I've never had a problem with the replacement axles from Autozone. Maybe I just got lucky, but I've used at least a dozen of them over the past 30 years or so. The critical part of it is to make sure you compare the new one with your old one before leaving it for a core. You better check the length and number of splines on BOTH ends of it.
