gonzomania i think the fatest tire on stock 16x6 would be p215/60r16 diameter is 26.6 width is 8.8 igot this from http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_specsheet.cfm?id=15 watch for my up coming post i got new wheels and tires after my first post and two years of research an i am happy happy happy.

gonzomania, Have the tire shop mount 1 tire and check for clearence to the front suspension strut. Remember, the tire will grow slightly when it warms up. I just had a bad thought, cable chains will absolutely not fit on my car now!
