Default winter wheels

I need some opinions on these http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/exel/exel.htm
for winter use. About 1/3 way down the page. The yellow or blue Excel-Pak 5. Keep in mind that I have yellow calipers and some neon yellow accents under the hood. Please be gentle... [)]
I'm gonna sell my OEM GT wheels [:I]

Your thread is winter wheels. You want to buy these and sell your GT wheels? So what are you gonna use for the winter? [:I]

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I am thinking of selling the OEM GT wheels. Then buying these for the winter to be different. I want a wider tire and the 6" GT wheel just doesn't get it.
Crewzin, can you post a pic of the blue and yellow ones on that page?
Thanks!

Kev,

Cool idea, but I'd like to ask a question: Why a wider wheel for winter?

Since we both live in the snow belt, good winter traction is key. A wider tire means a slightly larger contact patch, but it also means that less weight/square inch is transmitted to the ground for traction purposes. This is the reason why using a narrower tire is better for winter (and why I use 205/55/16 Michelin Arctic Alpin tires for winter on my GT).

My two cents,

Scott

Scott, thanks for the input. I do understand the need for less wider tires for winter. I'm just tossing around some ideas. And I don't drive it in the snow, at least until my '95 Dodge Avenger w/240K miles dies. Does anyone know if the OEM 15" steelies fit the GT? My newest idea, 15" steel wheels and spinner hubcaps [:0] PLEASE shoot me! [xx(]

I cannot find any steelies that will fit the GT on any sites. Any body have ideas? I do not belive the 15's will fit the GT. In fact, they don't. I put a set on just to drive a GT to the back of the building after we had a set of GT rims stolen off of our lot. The calipers rub. I am thinking more for a sleeper look than for winter, but then, i wouldn't have to switch over for winter then either.
