I think I have read somewhere that PT's have a 5 X 100 bolt pattern. If so, has anyone tried a VW wheel on their cruiser?
I just sold a New Beetle (because my local dealer and VWoA are totally worthless). While owning the NB I found a link to adding old Beetle hubcaps to NB steel wheels. I know I can get the old hubcaps without the logo and thought it would be cool. Anyone know? Thanks |

5X100 +38 VW wheels will work but the VW hub is a touch larger than the PT so make sure you have the wheel centered properly while torqueing the lugs.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Your Cruiser looks great on those wheels.
What's the +38? Is it the name of the wheels or some spec? I haven't had my Cruiser's wheels off yet, are you saying that they center to the hub, not to the lug nuts?

Graveone has Jetta wheels on his PT. They look very nice.

+38 is the offset in mm or the mounting flange position in relationship to the centerline of the wheel.
