I ordered a set of four of the center cap stick on in the aluminum finish with pt letters in black. These are made out of metal not plastic. My question does anybody have these? The question I have is that I was thinking of spraying a clear coat over the cap before i stick them on my wheels. I figure that they would be protected better and last longer. Has anybody out there don this or have any comments. My only concern is that the paint sticks to the metal finish. The set of four are not cheap they are 20 bucks for a set of four. But they look well made...and look good.

I have the set of aluminum finish PT center caps. They came with the wheels when I traded my old ones. If you live up north, it's probably a good idea to try and protect them from the elements. I don't think I'll have that probelm here.
