If you call Goodyear directly, they are pretty helpful, at least they were for me. They directed me to a dealer and called them before I went. They were waiting for me when I got there. I was pretty impressed.

I have the same problem. I contacted goodyear and they have the balls too tell me that the side wall bubbles are cause by me driving into a puddle. but even if it does I have driven alot of cheaper tire into alot worst puddle that I could remember that even damaged my controls arms but not cause a bubble. This is just an excuse to cover their ass. If their tires are any good or better this would not happen so often as for me I wish they have a bubble on the side of there freaking ballon and I will never by goodyear tires or product again.

My son had to have one tire replaced. I took it to the tire place I always go and he sold me a used one for 30 dollars same tread and pretty much the same wear on it. Price included balance and mounting.

Where do you guys buy your tires from? Big name companies like Sears or small local shops?

I've had good experience from Sears in the past but their tire selection is not that extensive plus I don't think they'd buy used tires.

What type of warranty do you get from a small local tire shop?

No, Sears won't buy used tires, but they'll give them to you so you can take them to a used tire place.
Main warranty is from manufacturer, so that doesn't matter, but I always get a "road hazard" warranty from Sears - free flat fixes, free rotation, and replacement tire (pro-rated) if tire is unrepairable.
