I have a PT 2002 with 47,000 miles on it. I noticed a rattling sound on the front passenger side. I thought it was the tire so I had them rotated and they found nothing wrong. It makes the sound when driving and braking. Any idea?

check the dust shield or backing plate. It may be bent causing it rub on the rotor when making turns. If so just simply push it back for the clearance needed.

Damn me too only my noise happened almost a year ago and has been getting louder ever since. I had my brakes changed back then and I just recently got a set of 18" American Racing Wheels and yet the sound still remains. Only on that driver side front. I know you guys and gals have been saying Dust Sheilds or Hub Centrix's or CV Joints but I'm really not a handyman when it comes to my Cruiser, so which is it do you suppose? And where can a fella take it to get looked at besides the dealership?
