I put 554,000 kilometres(approx 350,000 miles) on my Dodge Spirit and I hope to rack up as many miles on my new PT.It's a month old and already got 5,000 klicks on it.I always buy new and drive them forever

Wow, that's a lot of miles on the Dodge, was it a 4 banger also? Does it have a similar engine to PT's?
That's the way to go, buy new or near new and drive it so you get your moneys worth? My PT is a 202 limited regular 2.4 seems so small. I have 11,000 and also hopeing I'll get lot's of miles on the engine. Since this car only started being made in 2001 wondering who had manage to put on big miles and how they faired. all replys appericated.

I have seen posts by 2 PT owners that passed 100,000 miles. I have 72,000+ on mine.
I had a Dodge Spirit - '92 - that I had 195,000 miles on, auto stopped shifting and I didn't think it wise to invest in getting it fixed.

My Spirit had the 2.5 litre 4 cyl.I always kept the fluids changed at the required intervals and 95% of the mileage was on the highway.
Going to treat my PT just as nice. The engine was changed at 450,000 klicks as it was just starting to burn oil and since mileage was so high a rebuild was not an option. BTW the tranny was still original.
Changing fluids is cheap insurance!!!
