Default Problem with fog lights

Just a week ago, my fog lights started turning on when the light switch was even slightly moved. It is really annoying having to turn them off over and over, and when i come back to the car, the lights are on. This is causing the battery to drain all of its energy. I fooled with the fuses, but the fog light fuse is the same as all the lights fuses, so i couldnt just stop the fog lights from turning on. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Sounds like a short in the light control stalk. Sorry, but it will probably have to be replaced.

If you do a search on multifunction switch, you'll see several folks have had them go, and one post even had the part number. I think Michael Day is right, switch is bad.

I believe the guys are correct but just try this step 1st.
Disconnect your battery ground leave it off for 5 minutes them reconnect. You may have to reset your radio stations but its worth not spending the $75.00 for the part if it works. If you need a multifuntion switch it is about a 5 minute job and it is very easy to do. Good luck [|)]

temp repair until you get it fixed, remove the wire plugs
my guess a faulty multifunction switch, especially if you use the fog lights often

Don't order whole stalk thinking it'll be easier - you need "multi-function switch". Email Gonzomania for help, since he's replaced his.
