Default HVAC Problem?

I have a 2004 PT and have noticed that if you are going up a hill and you switch from outside air to inside air only it will not switch until you crest the incline or hill. I know that this is run off of vacuum. Have any of you Pt owners noticed the same..or can you try it on your and see if it does it...
