What kind of gas do you put in your cruiser? I usually put in Shell's Plus gas. I get from 0-150 miles to half. What else is good gas?!

By "kind" I presume you mean brand rather than grade. I suspect that most owners of NA PT's run regular and most Turbo PT's run Premium.

As far as brand, I run Shell typically but with the prices skyrocketing, I have been running Citgo to save 6-8 cents per gallon. I ran Exxon in my previous vehicles but noticed that the inside of the tank cap was turning red from deposits. Not good. 45 years ago I learned a valuable lesson, don't run Fina. Cost me a rebuild on the four carbs on my '65 Corvair Corsa convertible. Sometimes, cheap isn't worth the cost.

I fill my tank with Chevron gasoline with Techron which helps keep the inside of the engine clean and prevents deposits from developing. I've used this brand of gas for over 40 years in all my vehicles with good results. [^]

I've been going to the same Gulf station for years. I stick with name brands, but avoid Esso, and unless on a trip, always try to fill at the same place, and pick a place that moves a lot of gas.

I use the CHEAPEST gas I can find....here locally, it all comes out of the same truck, no matter the "brand"...that's a fact!

Chevron mostly. Union 76, Texaco, or Costco next. Mobil/Exxon, BP, and Shell, with Arco (too much alcohol/ethanol/methanol in Arco..7% or more) bringing up the rear.
