Today I went to the dealer to pick up the car. overall the experience is pleasant but I encounter PROBLEMS already.
1)One of the rear window can only go down but can't go back up. I had to press the button for a million time until finally it went back up. I wouldn't dear to press down again. I call the dealer and they're happy to fix it for me for free under the used car 60day 3000mile warranty. They say I can even pick my own shop and they'll pay for the cost(cool) but still not fun to discover this after I'm 1/2 ways 300miles home. (funny put about all this is the sell lady ask me "U can't get it up!?" then she realize something dirty ![]() 2)The 2nd problem I'm having with this is on the same window the rubber water guard water sill is almost coming off completely. U know that foot long black rubber weather strip between the front door and the rear door. (What type of GLUE should I use to glue it back or is there any replacement for it. Over all I like the car. everything else is solid so far eventhough the interior looks beat up a little and there are wear and tear. The one thing I notice was the the more I seat in it the more the interior material looks more dodge to me. The plastics are direct port from Caravan(I had one) BUT it's only $7200[?] The radio is OK but no Audi. On the way home I got 2 type of stare.....disguise or admire...but thats only 10% of the time people are used to the goofy look[|)] |

Yes, definitely have them fix all the electrical problems before your used car warranty runs out. Use everything multiple times and often to make sure it all works fine.
For number 2, have the dealer change the door seals. They will install the 2002 seals which are better and won't fall off later. If they won't change it, then use 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Yellow #08001 or 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Black #08008. While you have the 60 day/3000 mile warranty, then have them change all the stuff that will need changing soon (timing belt, clutch, brakes, etc). Also, check to see if any/all the recalls/tsb's have been performed on your PT. If not, then have them do it or find a closer dealer that will honor the warranty.

The weather strip I don't know if they'll fix it but I'll see. I think I'll goto a chrysler dealer to ask about the stuff but I want to save time. missing one day of work cost me more than the repair cost. |

Thank U VERY MUCH PEOPLE
Weatherstrip Adhesive works like wonder. I also took the rear window switch out I can't believe the center console is only held down by 4 screws. |
