Default on my 5th rental....

This may be it for me and my Pt....the spark plugs have done something to my engine beyond my and the dealers believe I brought it back in today to show them my idle and a good way of doing it was to put the car in park and put the rpms to 2 and let the gas pedal go there went my car into a stall we did that over and over and it continues to stall( that is what I get and do at a stop light in idle)they have once again kept it but will have probs triing to figure it out the darn engine light never comes on....I get my answer tomorrow for chrysler to buy it back full price...I hate to say this but I am spectical about buying another one I have had 3 months of trouble with this one but then again I will miss it dearly I am torn....but I thank all of you for all your help and answers....really BIG THANKS

Wow. Sorry to hear. Can't say as I blame you for being soured on PTs. Sure glad the Lemon Law is there for cases like yours. Wish you better luck with your next car.

I wouldn't give up if you can get a new one. I have had two Cruisers an 01 Limited and now an 03 GT and have almost no problems. In a year I have not had the GT back to the dealer and in almost 3 years I only had the 01 back once for a minor a/c problem.

HMM...that almost sounds like an Idle Air Control motor. Is this a FiveStar Dealership you are taking this to? Another thing you could try is a battery disconnect. Undo the battery for about 10 minutes is all you should need. This will reset the PCM and most likely the IAC values. This si the cheap easy way to do it without having the dealership hook up their scanner. I am sure they have thought about this...but just in case. I cannot think of anything else it could be off the top of my head that would cause this except an IAC motor. Unless of course, there is a tranny problem where the torque converter not disengaging. But, I don't know why your menchanics can't figure it out. [V]
