I have to agree, a quart of oil every 1000 miles can't be right no matter what the dealer says. The guy already has an attorney, guess he's looking for more PT owners with the same problem. [:I]

I work at a Chrysler plant and there must be at least 20 PT's owned by employee's here. Mine consumes nowhere near that amount of oil and no one I've asked has that problem either. This is new to me.
I'll certainly be checking my oil level more closely.Anyone else here noticed huge oil consumption?
I'd expect a very smoky exhaust if that were happening....

I had a Chevy Van that used a lot of oil and didn't
smoke and couldn't find a leak.Didn't go very far in it.
Got rid of it, never did find the problem.

Isn't illegal to not disclose problems (accidents, mechanical problems, etc.)with a vehicle under the lemon laws in various states?

Reading the guy's story, it sounds like the dealer sold a lemon.

That site reminds me of the site www.ptripoff.com about plastic hub caps passed off as chromed aluminum wheels on some 2002 pt cruisers. I think he received new wheels from american racing wheels so maybe this person will get what their after from chrysler.I hope.
