Default Copyed CDs

Hi all

I copyed some CDs today for the car as I can't conext my iPhone to play music anyway.

And it will not play any of them.

Is this normal is there some copy right software in the unit.

I was looking forward to singing my head off to the oldes.

Thanks

Did you copy them in lossless format (as if you copied the entire disc), or did you turn the songs into MP3s for your iPod and then copy them to a disc? I think there was a Cruiser factory radio in later years that would play MP3s, but it was a higher end option. My 2008 has an auxiliary jack on the front of the radio so I can hook up an MP3 player, but it will not play MP3s from a disc. I have no trouble playing discs that were copied in lossless format.

i burn cd's for mine(stock radio) all the time with windows media player. try using that. it's plenty capable of ripping and reburning the CD's you've made
-or set your itunes to burn slow(should be under "Preferences>Advanced>Burning" but i never use anything apple so IDK)

whatever you use, set it to burn the cd's at the slowest speed. make sure you are using brand name CD-R or CD+R (not RW) discs that say audio, not data.

this is why you burn slow: Q. Why does the speed at which you burn a CD make a difference? - i learned that burning linux dvd's that wouldn't install. also the music sounds less pixely(you'll notice it big time on a nice home reciever).

before you bother with any of the stuff i mentioned, try inserting the disc and hitting skip a few times. sometimes that'll get it to play(might take a couple tries) this has worked for me in the past with cd's friends have made

I also use the Windows Media Player to burn CD's and they play perfectly on the PT's stereo.

I use that method when I burn CD's but I hardly do that anymore since I got a head unit with the ability to play from USB.

Ditto, my iPod Nano hasn't left my car except when I update the music on it. Between it and the radio, my CD player never gets used anymore. Matter of fact, I should give away my CD's and my CD holders, they just take up space...
