Default REALLY big problem-electrical

So i went outside. My brake lights are stuck on.....cant get them to turn off, light housings are hot.

WHY?

Check the switch on the pedal linkage.

Get up under the dash with a light. There's a white box at the top of the brake peddle. The plunger that puts on the brake lights might be stuck, push the peddle a couple times to see if you can get it unstuck.

all solved! switch had fallen out of the bracket and was just dangling, duct taped that sucker in :-D

My worry was i could smell the plastic in the light housings starting to melt :/
