Get a diffrent mech this one is not good for you or the PT

Change the belt iots a pain but it is doable enought on here have

He did change the belt first. It turns over, It is not getting any compression in the Engine. Thus the head change.

opps my bad didnt read it al odd that a PT would ahve bent valvues but if it does it does
the head job isnt that expensive maybe $300-$400 in parts but they have to redo the timing belt and that is a killer its kind of a catch 22 you cant check the head with out the tb and if the head is bad you cant tell till you do the TB

So like where do you live. Because I want to open a shop their. At those prices I can retire in 5 years nicely. Seriously you can get a head ready to go for 300. If they got the valves out of time that could affect the compression.

Just to close this issue out... it WAS the Timing belt and it DID screw up the engine. Total cost for replacement of the water pump, timing belt and fixing the other issue with the car was $2200. It is, the 2002 PT Dream Crusier, an interference engine. If you are rolling when the belt breaks it will totally screw up the insides. All fixed... well.. almost.. new problem.. I just wanted to finish this post becasue I see so many times where I am looking for a solution to a problem and see where someone stopped saying anything about it and we never know if it fixed the issue... thanks again everybody... NOW... on to a WHOLE different ballgame....
