Default Removal

Can someone tell me if it's completely necessary to discharge and remove the A/C unit when changing the timing belt?
If so can someone give me instructions on how to correctly charge it with a charging kit (with gauge).

You can work around it if you are careful. If you take it loose, remove the radiator and all to get easer access to the bolts on the AC pump and power steering pump. Makes it a lot easier.
