Changed the trans fluid last week. Have done this every year and also with the filter every other year. Have the Dorman 265-801 pan with the drain plug which makes the job less messy. Takes 4 qts. ATF +4 or 5 qts. with the filter change. It doesn't get all the fluid out (that would require a professional flush). My doing this every year is probably way over done but given the lineage of the transmission... the ounce of prevention thing.

Took the Panel PT to the body shop tio have them make a small adjustment in the fit of the hood.
They made it worst!

But, I saw WHAT I NEED TO DO TO FIX IT!

Ok, a stumper for you all. I got in the my car this morning, started it and tried to roll down the window....tried. Both front windows would not move down at all. Both rear window did work. I turned off the car, got out, and for what ever reason, I used the remote and locked and unlocked the car a few times. Got back in, started it and the windows worked. Now you know why she's called Christine.

Did a general tuneup today.
Oil changed, with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and a Purolator Boss filter
New Bosch double iridium plugs with Duralast Gold wires
New K&N air filter (I know, I know, I'm a sucker for good advertising. Don't judge me!
Also threw a bottle of Techron in the last gas tank for the hell of it. It was on sale

The spark plugs I pulled from the engine *might* have been original. They were Champion Copper plugs, and although they looked generally clean, there was absolutely no electrode at all. Almost completely open on all 4 plugs. I truly don't understand how the engine was running at all, not to mention so well! Never had any misfires, or difficulty starting or at high RPM. Glad I got some good plus to replace it, and I'm glad the old ones came out ok!!

And next week, it'll be on to the front suspension!! I am absolutely dreading this job, so I hope I can get through it!!

Visited the JY today just to see what they had for PTs. Came upon a 2010 that must have spent much of its life in a garage because the paint looked great and most importantly the headlamps looked brand new. Mine are a little bit foggy several places in spite of my efforts to clean them several times. Upon seeing the crystal clear headlamps on this PT, well, just had to have 'em. Didn't take too much effort to remove them and scored them for less than 50 bucks.

Another interesting morning at the JY. Could spend hours just looking at the stuff. This is what happens when you are semi-retired...too much time...
