The spark plugs I pulled from the engine *might* have been original. They were Champion Copper plugs, and although they looked generally clean, there was absolutely no electrode at all. Almost completely open on all 4 plugs. I truly don't understand how the engine was running at all, not to mention so well! Never had any misfires, or difficulty starting or at high RPM. Glad I got some good plus to replace it, and I'm glad the old ones came out ok!!

And next week, it'll be on to the front suspension!! I am absolutely dreading this job, so I hope I can get through it!!
super amazed the pt was still running, the 2.4 does not like messed up plugs AT ALL< even certian brands of new plugs it doesnt like and will misfire .. your pt loves you for sure,

Got a head gasket kit and bolts through fleabay today. One look and said "oh no", they sent a kit for a V6 engine. Did anything similar happen to you? How did it end?

Monitor on after market Chuanganzhuo wired back up camera I installed in 2014 had a loose wire. Needed replacing.
The replacement kit, including the monitor, was $44.09 on Ebay, with shipping.

New monitor works perfectly.
Constructed new aluminum monitor mount.
Added small Chrysler emblem to center radio bezel.

Doing a routine visual inspection of the front suspension just happened to notice that the bonding wire strap between the body and right front strut had broken. Repaired with a new crimp-on terminal. Had been noticing lately that the weaker AM radio stations seemed noisier than normal. we'll see if the repair helps. Another other thing to be aware of is that lack of a bond here can result in pitting of the front wheel bearings from static discharge

I'm gonna be honest, I noticed mine was broken on the front drivers side about 4 years ago, and I still haven't gotten around to fixing it. Probably should......

I've done mine twice already on both sides since 2015 when i bought it. They seem to keep braking.

The winter seems to take its toll on the wires between the corrosion and driving through the snow and slush.
