I like taller tires on the back, but I didn't want to shell out for bigger rims!
I keep stock 16 inch rims and tires on the front, (that way the speedo is still calibrated!) and have gone to 235 60 R16 on the back.

I'm sure others have gone bigger still, but that is whats working for me right now...

THis might be handy for you...

I like how that looks for sure, but I don't think it will help much with the already terrible front clearance of mine, most speed bumps and sidewalks already scrape my front splitter.

So the stock rims can fit 235 tire?

That's my problem too.
And "lowered" means "NO"! No taller tires & rims.

Well its purring like a Kitten.
And BTW. I am a LAZY LAZY F$8K!

Normal people would Drive to get their food. Nope.
I order Burger king to my car.

Anyways. Engine is Purring.I just have Vacume leak. Sure its due to EGR not working me thinks. Still have not picked that up. Still looking for right connetor on line.

I thought I had an oil leak from my Head cover gasket. Nope. dry.

After I looked at a Video of the Engine Running? Looks bone dry.
And I found the Problem. Just oil on the Manifold that Still has not Burned off yet. Its next to the Head so its just not getting hot enough to burn off the oil all the way.

SO I am just letting the engine run for a Few hours to make sure I don't have any Leaks from the Rad hoses etc.

I just installed the Alternator belt and left the rest of them off to warm up the engine and give it a nice break in.

Next is to install all the other stuff liek the Front bar that connects the fenders etc.

But MAN to I have an Exhast leak. That HAS to be taken care of ASAP..

Not bad for the work I put in today.

Man, What a Great World. I am A Happy Goy..

Man, that Asian dude killed it getting the Good here Hot. But like always? WHERE IS MY BBQ SAUCE!!!!!!!

And Where are my Chicken Tenddies!!!!

Well - ON THE BACK, they can. I cannot vouch for the front!
The front lip on my car is all scratched up too, I think there is just no escaping that...

Red face Re: What did you do to your PT today?

Wina few; lose a few!

Found beautiful tree to park the convertible under while I played golf.
Got back to the PT after playing, and the car was nice and cool.
But, upon further inspection...bird poop on the window....and Piles of bird poop on the rag top.
Oh well! She needed a wash anyway.

got the dront brace on I cleaned it up. and got it installed.
I took down the bumper today, and then started to polish the headlamps.
GOt this one side done in no time! Still not perfect.

From so FOGGY you could not see the reflector to this in about 10 min of total work. NOT BAD!

More work needs to be done on Drivers side.

The passenger side looks fantastic. More work to be done on drivers side.
electrical system checks out at 13.8

driver side High beam needs a new connector.
Need to install relays in Headlamp and Low speed fan.

Found some rust on front wings. under grill area where the fender ends. Saving for the body shop. Used some rust inhibitor to keep it from rusting more.

DIY battery works fine. Still needs more heat insulation to be kept under hood.
Cell temps still within spec. But higher then I am comfortable with. So making a new box for it with more cell insulation.

got dark before I could remove wiper cowl to lubricate the windshield wiper mechanism.

ordering Yellow led fog lamps as the fans for them have rusted and no longer move.
Might just throw in some yellow HID kit as they are barely used. Or get the fanless design.

could not find exact connector online So junkyard I go this week.

Front bumper mounts need to be fixed. One is broken.

Question Re: What did you do to your PT today?

I have these fog light bulbs in mine and really like them. Gives a bit of a different look and provide decent light output down low.

Here's a better look at the "taller back tires" ( 16 inch wheels)

That definitely looks awesome. I might try to put 65 or 60 on mine to see how they will look.

With my question I meant if the stock rims of the car are wide enough to handle 235 wide tires,I know they will fit in the fenders, there is lots of space.

I am not sure about USA but in Europe they come with 205/55/R16 stock.
