Depending on how tight the arm is stuck on the shaft, or whatever corrosion may be present, you may need a little persuasion to remove it. This is a faucet handle puller that can be used to help with the persuasion:

If my Dad has one of those laying around Ill give it a try, if not Ill just go to a scrapyard and replace it, My local scrapyard is pretty nice they often give small items most people wouldn't take for free, if not it will only cost me a few bucks,

I use Michellin Stealth for the front. 20 and 21. And Michellin High Performance or something for the back. Michellin all the way though. I tried Trico, RainX and a few others but Michellin has held up best for me. 2 years running on our 05. 1.5 years on my 08. And 03 just had them installed. Never an issue. Unless as stated by someone else, your run them on or over ice. Kills the blade no matter the brand. But, Michellins are top notch imo.

Once again I deal with wiper at least every other week if not weekly if it rains. Only a couple of members can make that statement.
But I do deal with members that are key board experts more than wipers all the time on forums.

I've been using PIAA Super Silicone Wiper Blades for the last 2 or 3 years. They work better than any other blades I've used. I've haven't replaced any of them. My wife has not nagged me in all that time, which is a nice change. Before she would be nagging me about a month after getting new blades about how poor they were.

But the blade on the passenger side did not contact the windshield at the bottom but then did about half-way up the windshield, and the rear blade did not fully contact the glass at the top of the swing, but left a couple of inches not cleaned. Maybe not a big deal in either case, but it annoyed me enough to replace them with a standard type blade. But maybe they have improved the pressure that they apply to the glass and I might give the beam style another chance.
Just put Michelin Stealth XT's on the PT and the passenger side does not make contact at the bottom... it hasn't rained since I put them on; but it's bugging me! I bought them several months back and just got around to putting them on. May have wasted some cash there... live and learn.

The very tip of the Wiper Blade on my passenger side does not touch all the way either when they are off. This has been a factor with any blade I have ever used. However, Looking at the performance, that tiny bit that does make contact when they are off makes no difference when they run. While running the Blade makes full contact on the windshield. I too use the Michelin Stealth Wiper Blades.

Depending on where you bought them, most places give you 90 days to return something and some places even after 90 days, may still give you a refund in the form of a store credit. It never hurts to ask and you can just tell them the truth, that you just got around to installing them and don't like how they function or fit.

I use the RainX brand blades from Walmart and they are a traditional style blade that makes contact on the entire windshield, no matter where they are. I will stay with the traditional style blades for that very reason.

Somewhere on these threads last year I went thru this. I found that fancy Michelins or Trico or whatevers aren't worth it. After a couple months they take a set and chatter horribly.

I tried some of the cheap-o Walmart brand ones and they work just fine. No chattering and they have lasted all winter so far. All the road salt and sand and snow and ice, and they are just starting to show a tiny bit of wear. They are cheap enough to replace a couple times a year.

That's my 2.5 cents.

I just replaced the old Michellin Stealth Blades I installed December of 2016. Got most of a winter, spring-fall, and another winter before they needed changing. Year and a half with 1 set of Wiper Blades? That's good in my opinion. This winter (16-17) was especially hectic compared to last winter (17-18) though.

With our previous PT's, We had nothing but issues with Rain-X, Bosch and Anco Wiper Blades. Either streaking like crazy, (Rain-X) cracking or falling apart (Anco) or the blade wouldn't make contact and leave blotches of water on the windshield. (Bosch)

Never tried Trico. Really never heard of them until this post.
