Miss fire and clogged catalyst, hmm.. coincidence?
Bought the car showing these codes. Found a leaky injector that stopped leaking by the time I finished cleaning them. No codes for a while then both codes came back simultaneously. Will a rich mixture cause a P0420? I hope. |

303, which happened to be the cylinder with the leaky injector.

I would suggest changing the cylinder 3 fuel injector with another cylinder fuel injector. This would eliminate the fuel injector causing the code 303 to trigger if you don't get different misfire code.
If it does not stop triggering the 303 code I would do an engine compression on cylinder #3. If your engine compression is low enough it will not fire all the time and raw fuel will be going to the CAT. Isn't your engine light blinking randomly when the issue comes up?
