I searched the forum but no luck on this, I have a 05 non turbo and I tried to add coolant to the AC and the gage said it was charged. It blows cool not cold air any ideas where to look for issues? My mechanic wante $150 just to inspect the system which sounds crazy to me. The compressor seems to be kicking on and off (hard to see it)
Thanks all Jeff |

The labor charge is fair if they have an AC recycle machine that will do a pressure test recover the Freon and replace the Freon in the correct amounts.
There could be numerous reasons why you may feel the less then cooler AC? We would need to know the temperature coming from the AC on MAX and compare it to the ambient. A simple 5 dollar temperatures gauge at the grocery store to measure cooking temperatures works well for this. WARNING: DO NOT try to add more Freon until you know what the problem is! |

The temp selector knob on the dash may not be working properly. Possibly a problem with the selector door under the dash moving from hot to cold.
