replacement PCV valve not right position

I was going to change the PCV valve on my 2007 PT Cruiser GT. But when I go to turn it to mount it it's at the wrong angle for the hose. It's off by about 15 to 20 degrees. Anyone else have this issue? The part number is the same and it looks like the same PCV valve.

IIRC, the top part rotates. I'd be careful and wait to chime in because that is how I cracked my original.

Many of the replacement PCV valves for the turbo PT's are made in two pieces. As mentioned, you can usually rotate the top part in the plastic sleeve.

Unfortunately this one doesn't rotate. It looks exactly the same as the stock one...the grooves, everything. But when it twists it gets tight at a different angle. Doesn't make sense to me as it looks the same.

That picture doesn't show me that it doesn't rotate. You'd have to see it from the top. Even if it doesn't, you should have 2 angles you can put it at - Keep track of how you start it. If you don't like the angle, try putting it in 180 different and it will probably end up 180 degree different, which might be useable. Like the oil cap, you should be able to put it in the opposite way.

I did try it at the two different angles...one is about 15 degrees off, the other is the total opposite direction. I will mess with it again and see if I can start it at a little different angle.

The angle of the hose isn't exactly right but I was able to get it to fit on. Should be good to go. Still not sure why the angle is still off a little bit
