Default Petition now online - Stabilizer Bar deletion

Sorry for posting in 2 sections

http://www.petitiononline.com/2003stab/petition.html

If you are interested in joining an action to see if we have enough interest to pursue a Cass Action against Daimler Chrysler over the deletion of the Rear Stabilizer Bar, please visit the site above and add your name to the petition. Email addresses are helpful in helping verify, and aren't displayed (If I did things right).

Thanks for all the suggestions. Input by all (especially Phil and Steve) made this come together. Hope it shows some interest.

David and Phil, thanks for all the time you've invested in this endeavor; hopefully, this will be a means to a just end.

Jody, how about making this a sticky?

I would sign the petition if the rear sway bar was listed on my window sticker. Since it is not, I can't really sign the petition.

I looked at the window sticker of our GT Turbo and it does NOT even mention a rear sway bar. Sorry, can't join this one.

Why not? My interpretation is the petition is asking 1)do you own a Chrysler product and 2)would D-C's not making it right negatively impact your buying of a future D-C product.
IMHO, a non-owner could still be concerned about the issue and let it have a negative impact about future Chrysler products.
I may be wrong.[:I]

Since you are asking people to sign saying they support a class action suit, would it not be prudent to only have signatures from people that could actually join the suit? If you are trying to pressure DCX to install the sway bar, just saying you have x number of signatures doesn't mean anything. You need to have x number of signatures of people affected by this issue who are willing to and can join the suit.

At least that's my opinion on why I can't / won't sign the petition.

Actually, I don't have it on my Monroney (window sticker) either. I had one on my '02 TE, and got used to the handling. After reading the code sheets and seeing it listed as standard equipment on the order sheets, and seeing the confirmation in other press releases and literature, I felt that the issue is a matter of misrepresentation, that if not at least acknowledged, enables a whole lot more mischief.

I try to make it a point in life to not overlook what is wrong; even if I can't do anything about it.

If it weren't for the ones with ideals who lance at windmills, Chrysler would never have issued the recall on 84 minivans that was issued last year.

I may not have a chance, we may not have a chance.

As the expression goes: We'll fight 'till Hell freezes over; then we'll fight 'em on ice".
