I read a thread earlier about getting rid of the muffler altogether. One sec...

Haha, well there's a video a few pages in and according to what others have said...it's a deeper/mellow tone. Nothing ricer about it!

Makes me want to do the same, but one step at a time...

it actually kinda sounds like the supra did with a 3" turbo back open style o.O thats pretty sweet! if we were to do that, next step on open exhaust would be to do a cat delete... or hi flow(about 200 bucks) whats your thoughts about it?

The Cressida I had was already modded, and the Focus I'd say was something any average-joe can do!

My expertise is with home-audio, any such mechanic work will be new to me but I'm willing to learn

hey, learning is a necessity and you always figure out something new, right? only way i learned was to rebuild the supra from the ground up... i screwed up and didnt replace the head gasket when the engine was outta the car, but i learned its a ton more work and harder to do with the engine still in the car lol

With all the talk about the spark plugs, should I just go ahead and grab the coppers or iridium plugs tomorrow?

i'd say sure... i mean between coppers and iridiums, the latter will last longer of course, but they gotta be gapped right, as with any spark plugs.. as someone said, .35 on the iridiums or .32 on coppers? oh and found the silencer thing: http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...r-removal.html
