Default Oil Filter Location

Hey everyone. Getting ready to do my first oil change on the 05 PT GT. Can someone post a picture of the location of the oil filter and drain plug please?

if you can find the filter and oil at the store, finding it on the car is far easier

Perfect! That leads to my next question. Is there a preferred 5W-30 I should buy? I know I sound like a noob, but this is my first Turbo and the first car I have owned that I MUST fill with 93 octane fuel.

This is a great way to start a war on any automotive forum, so I'll throw in my vote.

I exclusively use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 and a Purolator Boss filter. Good luck finding it in stores though, I source mine from Amazon.

No matter what brand, I'd recommend a fully synthetic oil though, especially with the high compression turbocharged engine.

most turbo engines ive seen run far lower compression ratios than naturally breathing engines... what exactly is high compression? the oil doesn't care... anyhow- buy what's on sale, especially if you change the oil a lot.
