I been to the track a few times, and I'm quite sure my 04 GT 5-Speed won't get any faster than 15.1 s on the 1/4 mile. Of course, I'm using 91 Octane (California). However, they do trap pretty high around the 90's. I'll work on my launches, and see what the results are.

I do have a few mods, but no stage 1. Running with VAK, Mopar Dual Exhaust, and SSR Competitions Rims.

Road and Track, June 2003, reported that after a dynamometer test of the Mitsubishi TD04LR turbocharged engine in the Dodge SRT-4 (same engine as used in the 2003 PT Cruiser GT) the output at the crankshaft was 238 bhp which is 23 bhp more than than claimed by the manufacturer. The findings, after subtracting 16 bhp for drivetrain loss, showed the turbocharged engine sends 222 bhp and 246 pound feet of torque to its front wheels. When Chrysler was asked about this because they rate the GT Turbo at 215 bhp they indicated that "It's always better to be a little conservative on your power ratings."

Our pathetic 60ft is the culprit, I think. This GT has so much torque that when I stomp it I just cook tires. Next time Im going to try "leaning" into it as opposed to jumping in. Plus my Toyos should be better than my Nangkangyintangs or whatever.

I did about a year and half a go and posted the results,
187.5 at the wheels, with the 13% to 18% lost to the
autoshift that's about 220 or so.

Yes it seems no-one has dynoed a 5spd. A lot of autosticks though. Something I always wondered is if we have a bit more torque than the SRT due to the longer intake runners. (wouldnt be much though).

This discussion seems to be mixing HP, 60 ft times, 1/4 mile times and other measurements. Obviously weight is going to have a huge effect on any distance/time measurement. His original question was just has anyone dyno'd their GT. I have not seen any dyno charts for a 5 sp. Several have posted them for auto-sticks. I would search here and the other boards for the results.

I knew that Dodge cars rated their HP very close to the wheel HP (i.e. SRT-4 actually do dyno down to the wheels of their stated HP). However, I wasn't sure if Chrysler did the same practice (Parent company of Dodge).

I knew my deep down my heart that my 04 5-Speed dynoed close to the stated HP [] (Well, at least now I know for sure ).
