Carbide tipped sawzall....hell yeah... how do you think I got that Borla exhaust from the bone yard...... zippp and a rippp and it was mine. Someone was kind enough to remove the rear doughnut hangers and I took care of the rest. Had the sawzall ready the other day at the yard, had my eyes on a chrome shifter bezel and was ready to cut the console into pieces but someone had the SAME idea. Got to the car, opened the door and shifter gone and console in pieces.... curses foiled again (quote Snidely Whiplash to Dudley Do-Right)

Another drive the club could do is Edward Hines Drive..... long ( I think it's 17 miles long) 2 lane drive that I used to do on my motorcycles many years ago. From Dearborn area to just about Ann Arbor. Would be nice to do it again.

Another would be the Thumb, up to the top (have lunch) then east side down to Port Huron. There are a number of nice scenic pull offs to view Lake Huron and to have the cars lined up for a group photo. Jill and I do this trip a couple times a year. What's neat is you go through some wind mill farms by Bad Axe.

One more is going to St Clare. There is a beautiful park called Palmer Park on the river where you might catch a freighter going by. Take the water way back to Selfridge ANG

My ex and I used to do the Gratiot (Lakeshore/25) run up into the thumb all the way to the top then back down 53 when we lived in Romeo.

Hines Drive, pick a week with no rain! LOL I haven't been on Hines in fifty years or so, raised in Taylor.

I've heard of Palmer Park, but, I don't believe I've ever been there. Is that the one where they have concerts?

Good ideas Paul!

Ed Hines Dr is my stompin grounds, I cruise it all the time...its a great cruise with several areas where Classic cars do Show & Tells...just did one about a month ago, when still warm, at Merriman and EH Drive, bunch of Classics...14 or so.
I pulled my PT in and parked and was immediately notified that your car had to be 25 yrs or older to be a Classic.......Well.....I told the guy that was interesting, popped my hood up, opened the hatch up and cracked a beer...stayed for about hour and a half and enjoyed talking with the boys.
Many good places for Show and Tell on the Drive...waiting for Spring now...
I would love to have 6 or 7 or more show up and bust the Classics.
also they do every Sunday, Spring thru Fall...
Chuck

Duwayne, Do you happen to belong to the church that is located in
down town Marine City ? While Ruth and I where walking through
on a sunny sat. The church was having a concert at the park. We
meant some really nice people and they asked us to eat with them
and enjoy the music. We had a nice time.

In the 40+ years of motorcycling I have been all over the country on 2 wheels. For the last 20 years a group of 6 of us would take annual guy's only week long biker trip. I was the route planner and my buddy the hotel arranger, the other 4 were just followers. Man, there are some awesome roads down south that I used to carve up. In 2007 I had a Chrysler Crossfire convertible and 6 speed. Wife and I went down to a place called the TAIL OF THE DRAGON (US129) been there many times on a cycle and in a car. Check THAT road out for some thrills.
