Check wires going into coil pack from main engine harness back at corner of cyl head. Also I like a good shock treatment of Chevron Techron Concentrate fuel treatment in about a 1/2 tank of gas.... big bottle worth dumped in to clean the intake lower tract and injectors. Battery disconnect for about 5 minutes to clear PCM memory of active codes.
New Plugs & Wires last July...Will try the Chevron Techron...thanks for advice...

I would still pull the intake and remove the plugs and wires.. See what's going on in #4 cylinder. I have had plug failure more times that I wish with one manufacturer. Look at #4 plug for carbon tracking. If plug looks somewhat OK I would next pull the injector tree (since the intake is already off) and inspect #4 and then swap injectors around to see if misfire follows. Let us know what you find or don't..

Since the coil pack fires cylinder 1 and 4 same time (when #4 fires compression cycle, #1 is firing exhaust cycle - waste spark set up) that would pretty much rule out the coil pack. Again pull wire off #4 and inspect wire terminal and post on coil for carbon tract or loose fitting. Incomplete tight connection in time will burn the metal tip on the wire end. Also what you can do with the intake ON you can get your fingers to #4 injector and wiggle the injector wire connection and see if anything changes. #4 injector is at the end of the fuel rail line and any trash (rust) would end up at end potentially partially or plugging that injector.
