I'm considering putting my PT's on market. Too many cars and wondering if members would be interested because these are not run of the mill used cars. If I decide to sell, I would rather they went to a collector home.
1.) Silver 2006 PT GT Convertible - 27,000 Original miles. Car shows absolutely new. Considering ask of $10k 2.) Silver 2005 PT Touring (Turbo) Convertible - 8,000 Original Miles. Car shows absolutely new. Would ask of $10k 3.) Silver 2004 PT GT Coupe - 55,000 Original Miles. Paint / Interior shows new. Considering ask of $8k |

i would offer you less than half your asking price for each of those vehicles. you can't just go doubling the top blue book value because they are mint. there is someone dumb enough to buy anything though, so why not try it?

I have to agree with Rob. Besides, these cars are all old and no matter the low mileage, most likely are going to need the timing belt change. I'd be concerned with that, first and foremost. And we all know that isn't a cheap thing to have done. Unless you do it yourself, of course.

Drink a glass of HOAT guys, let's not start a war here.
On a side note, though perhaps a tad more than I personally, as a disinterested third party, would want to pay, you're still getting a used car with very low miles, they have clearly been very well cared for in terms of looks, I would assume any member here (Or most of us anyways) would care for it mechanically as well. Yes, there are things you have to replace on any car as it ages, timing belt is a given. These cars are also young in mileage, so they could make great show cars for anyone so inclined or they could also make a great car for modding, if you wanna make a race prepped car for some reason. I've toyed with the idea myself before. Just my 3 cents. ![]() |

There's a music forum I like where they have strict rules against commenting on or refuting someone's asking price for their instruments. After a few years here, I've come to like those rules.
The reason is that when someone comes here and posts a price perceived as too high they are suddenly confronted for asking too much. And then they never come back because all of us regular members seem pretty asinine in their eyes. ![]() I'm as guilty of this as the rest. And I'm not going to do it anymore. I'm a big fan of discussing the current value of PT Cruisers. But I'm going to do it in other places and not in someones for-sale thread unless they ask us for help in pricing. Then I'd be all over it. ![]()
