We are going to make the trip this year, I went a couple of years ago. Its a good time nice people. Also, a couple of laps around the Watkins Glen Race Track. Beautiful part of the state the Finger Lakes region. Lots of wineries

Had been planning on doing it.
Will stay down in Elmira though. After some research into the local Motels, I didn't want to have to find another place on short notice. Was not impressed; and we will have been on the road a while - need comfort!
