Chrysler Group Announces New Consumer Incentives on 2003 and 2004 Cars and Trucks

Auburn Hills, Mich., Oct. 01, 2003 -
Chrysler Group, working to help ignite the nascent economic recovery, today announced an integrated sales and marketing initiative that includes increased incentives on most Chrysler, JeepĀ® and Dodge vehicles, and a lease pull-ahead program.

"The Best Values in America just got better," said Gary Dilts, Senior Vice President - Sales, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "We're kicking off the fourth quarter by bulking up our 'Best Values In America' sales equation with enhanced incentives, plus our 7/70 powertrain warranty, plus our great products."

Incentives on most 2003 model year Chrysler Group vehicles increased by up to $2,000. For most 2004 model year vehicles, incentives increased by up to $1,500. As a result, consumer cash incentives for most 2003 model year Chrysler Group vehicles range from $2,000 to $5,000, and for most 2004 model year vehicles, $1,500 to $4,000.

Most 2003 and 2004 model year vehicles have 0 percent APR financing up to 36 months, and 1.9 percent APR financing up to 72 months.

The new incentives and APR financing are effective October 1 through Jan. 2, 2004.

Excluded from the consumer cash incentives are 2003 models of SRT-4 and Dodge Viper SRT-10.

Excluded from the consumer cash incentives are 2004 models of Dodge Durango, Ram SRT-10, SRT-4, Viper SRT-10, Chrysler Crossfire and Dodge Sprinter vans.

The new initiative also includes:

Lease pull-ahead -

Customers leasing a Chrysler Group vehicle through Chrysler Financial can terminate their lease and have up to five payments waived when they make a retail purchase or lease of a 2003 or 2004 Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle. Eligible for the program are customers whose Chrysler Financial leases mature no later than April 3, 2004. The deadline for signing up for the lease pull-ahead is Jan. 2, 2004.

Increased advertising spending in the fourth quarter will support the new incentives and lease pull-ahead.

"These innovative programs lay the groundwork in the marketplace for the Chrysler Group's upcoming product offensive," said Dilts. "Today's announcement gives us the momentum for the 10 new Chrysler Group cars and trucks that we are introducing between now and the end of 2004. It is the largest barrage of products for any comparable period in our history."
