I finally have confirmation that US PT's have Daytime Running Lights ![]() This PT came into my work parking lot today and I noticed the DRL. I got the VIN and ran it on the Dodge website to get the build sheet: Equipment Listing VIN: 3A8FY48909T563121 Vehicle Description: 2009 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER LX 4-DOOR HATCHBACK STANDARD EQUIPMENT Monotone Paint 120 Amp Alternator 510 Amp Maintenance Free Battery Power Front Disc/Rear Drum Brakes Rear 65/35 Fold/Tumble/Remvble Seat Color Keyed Shift Knob Supplemental Side Air Bags Child Seat Anchor System-LATCH Ready RR Head Restraints Outboard Seating Advanced Multistage Front Air Bags Passenger Compartment Floor Carpet Cargo Compartment Carpet Front Door Sill Scuff Pads Floor Console w/Covered Storage Solar Control Glass Rear Window Defroster Rear View Day/Night Mirror Sliding Sun Visors w/Covered Mirror Manual Remote Control Mirrors Keyless Entry,Panic Alarm,2 Transmit Rear Door Child Protection Locks Sentry Key Theft Deterrent System Air Conditioning Deluxe Insulation Group Instrument Panel Instrument Cluster w/Tach Instr. There is nothing on the 2009 dealership brochure that lists anything about DRL. http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/...uiser_2009.pdf It looks like the vehicle was ordered in Los Angeles, but also has listed a Colorado Ship to state code as well as a New Jersey sold to state code and was a fleet vehicle for Avis Budget Rent-A-Car. So it could be any one of those combinations that dictated that the vehicle have DRL. |

Here is the link to the video. Perhaps if you share the steps at the dealer, they could follow them and find the DRL option, if there is one, and enable it. Without speaking to someone without a Starscan or similar tool that has done through every cell and menu, we are all just guessing. Again, this is a video of the menus in a 300, but perhaps similar steps can be used to find the option for a PT: |

Sorry for the confusion, (serves me might for saying a definitive).
I don't have much experience with a Gen2 PT, and the differences. I would very much like a link to what ever those sweet Halo lenses for the PT are, those look amazing.

didnt seem to be a huge deal for this guy to activate the DRL feature.
http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...today-fun.html might find some options by looking up the things discussed in there... CanUSB, AutoEnginuity, etc... they might be over some peoples heads but these toys are the only reason i would EVER even want a canbus car. |
