Re: Liftgate touchpad replacement

That's a fantastic option. I already had mine torn apart before I realized I had that option. And it has the added benefit of not having to replace all the damn double sided tape. If I had to do...

Re: Who wants a dually?

I pull a trailer and haul with my PT, so even if they aren't the drive wheels, they should support a load better. So would they technically be fake? I could start dragging around 2 caskets instead...

Re: Who wants a dually?

I've thought about that, but until/unless you converted to rear wheel drive, it would seem a little weird to me. Duallys are real wheel drive, but it's as much to do with carrying weight. I've...

Who wants a dually?

Just burning a little time here at the end of my day at work. I've used Photoshop for years, but work is cheap and I have to use GIMP for any editing I need to do. So I've had this idea in my head...

Re: Griots Garage now at Advance Auto

Just saw this post, and I have to comment: I just finished working for a year at an Advance store. As far I can tell the Griot's is way overpriced, too small of a quantity to be useful, and in the...

Re: Faded Pillar Post

Okay, can someone tell me if those pillar covers are metal or plastic? The paint on mine is coming off on the tops and bottoms, and in the little groove. If they are metal, I'll just strip them,...

Re: 3rd brake light wiring on trailer

My trailer lights have two bulbs in each tail light. One for running, and BOTH for brake lights, turns and flashers. It's a 4 wire trailer connection. If you have a 4 wire setup, that's probably...

Re: Looking for a Cruiser event in or around....

I'm usually around. Just depressing to talk car stuff when the weather is still crap and it's too cold to work on the car.

Re: 3in1 Taillight?

I was thinking about this myself recently. Really, it could be done with the existing taillights on the 06 and up. The turn signal lens is clear rather than yellow, and can be switched to earlier...

In my '06 the 60/40 split seats weigh right at 60 lbs and 40 lbs, go figure.

Re: DLR's turn off

A lot of people that use their high beams, have never left the city. It very, very rare for me to be someplace in town and need my high beams. It should be illegal to use them in city limits.......

Re: DLR's turn off

Not a bad idea actually. If you;re coming at a car front a front angle and it's high beam is on, you might miss the turn signal. Personally, I don;t get why they use the high beam instead of the...

Just did some digging, the twin and single turbo versions are projected at 420, and 370 hp.

Re: What air filter should I get? [2002 PT]

Wow! Great responses guys!
I've been using the K&N filter for about 4 years. My "butt dyno" suggests an increase in hp, but I'm sure it's only in my head. However, my brain and ears tell me that...

Re: Were the designers insane? or just high :-p

Just this weekend I had the car apart putting in a new radiator fan. I tell you, if you could relocate the battery and relay box, and make the air box smaller, there's a sh*t ton more space right...

Re: Trying to fix my A/C...

Couple weeks ago my a/c quit blowing cold air on my '06. The week prior, it was blowing sub-arctic.
So over the weekend, I've been troubleshooting and replacing parts.
Saturday I determined that...
