All right! Thanks for that level of confidence.

On the canbus thing, I wouldn't be able to tell you if you are right or wrong because I don't know. I was doing additional inquires. Someone else said that 09 and 10's were different than the earlier years.

Thanks for the information.

That was me. I read about it on a different forum. I could be mistaken, but according to that forum, there are different versions of CANBUS that are incompatible. I think all it will do is the stereo won't function properly. I'll have to dig that info up...

Handy, you might be correct that all 'half-moon' stereos are compatible. If so, I again stand corrected.

Here you go... A lot of info here.

Hey,

At that link you provided, it says the the RAQ stereo needs no CanBUS at all. So speed doesn't mater, at least for this model. That's great info.

Well, I received my used cd/am/fm player yesterday and installed it. I thought it all worked, but now I have discovered that the volume doesn't stay where it should. It reverts back to zero sometimes. Now that's weird!

I saw at least 3 or 4 of those stereos in the junkyard this morning, so they are out there if you look. Maybe you can just grab another.
