Default Turbo vs. Supercharged

Hi!! Mi name is charlee and I am buying a PT Cruiser Soon.

This is my Question.

I know the basic ups and downs of each, but what is the power diference on a PT. I am getting a 2002 or 2003. What have you experienced with these? What are the HP#'s and Torque? Thanks for the help.

Oh and
Is the 2003 gonna be turbo?

The claimed power gains as well as the gains you will get are diffrent from brand to brand. volumetric effiency, air flow restrictions, heat absorbtion all play a part in making the power. if you look at the pics of the models you will se a big diffrence in layout. some lean to ease of instalation others for better effiency. This goes for turbos as well as blowers. look for dyno results in your search, and try to see the actual charts if you can. dyno charts are not the real world (I dont usualy go fron 30 to 60 in 3rd gear at full throttle) but they show true numbers. if you do the research and be true to your self about what you want to get out of them, you will find what you need. In your case if you are buying a turbo already, you may find a replacement turbo for more power.

As for your other question. Chrysler has said YES to turbo-charging the PT Cruiser so look for it at your local dealer towards the end of this year, probably as a 2003 model....also look for a premium price by your local Chrysler dealer!
