That's how I felt about the transmission pan. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to put a silly drain plug in the pan, but with the filter being on the inside, you have to drop the whole pan. FYI, if you decide to do the transmission drain and refill yourself, buy the filter kit from WIX. Not only do they make excellent filters, but that kit comes with a new rubber gasket. It took me a long time to scrape the old gasket material off the pan and clean it up, but when I did it looked totally new. Oh, and I put down a shower curtain liner under the car cause that is a really messy job and hot transmission fluid will go everywhere.
