I will get some PB Blaster tomorrow and also try the sticky tape suggestion and give it a go.

Blaster Penetrating Catalyst 16-PB: Search no more for the best Graphite/Lubricant at Advance Auto Parts

Thanks for the replies.

My concern is spraying something into the valves that might damage the engine (PB Blaster) through the PCV hole. Also the possibility of small pieces of plastic falling into the engine.

Another alternative I thought was to buy a used valve cover off E-bay if it doesn't work

How big is the hole?

I don't have pics tonight .

The PCV is hollow and broke off at the base of the thread leaving approximately a 1/2 inch hole surrounded buy the plastic thread within the body of the valve cover.

A small 1/2 inch hole remains within the confines of the embedded thread inside the valve cover.)

It will not budge. I'm thinking it was possibly cross threaded when I put it in a couple of years ago. Therein, it broke at the base of the plastic bolt when I tried to remove it.

If you have a threat cutter, reverse cut the threads inside the tube and as tighten a bolt into it - it should start to un-thread the plactic housing.

THANKS BUSTED!

Got up early and went to the Autozone bought a cheap set screw extractors and some PB Blaster penetrant

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...uestid=1735174

Sprayed it, let it sit while I cooked up some breakfast.

I then used the 3/4 inch bit and slowly screwed in with a pliers.

(limited space for a drill unless I removed the entire air box.)

At first no good until the extractor was almost half in. Then, victory was mine!

It's amazing to me how a simple PVC valve turned into such a project.

You would think that maybe Mopar could make these things with a metal thread?

It's obvious that the plastic thread became brittle with the engine heat...

Sigh of relief!
