My local Walmart has a variety of coolants on the shelf. Several made by STP. I read all of these STP branded ones and they have conventional, Extended life (dex-cool), Global Extended life, European vehicle extended life, and Asian vehicle extended life".

The European one says it is HOAT and for use in vehicles requiring a phosphate free OAT engine coolant and has a 5 year/250,000KM life.

The Asian one says it is HOAT and for use in vehicles requiring a phosphate based OAT engine coolant and has a 10year/300,000km (~186,000mi).

It would seem that there are two HOATs. I do like the idea of once and done for 10 years! lol

The Zerex G-05 is specified to be phosphate free, like the STP Euro. I wonder how critical the phosphate is to the coolant given that the Asian STP is still HOAT.

STP European Vehicle Extended Life HOAT

STP Asian Vehicle Extended Life HOAT

STP Global Extended Life

Important, and valuable information here so let's keep adding information as personal experiences tell the end tail.

Through a link in this thread I ran across what seems to be another option for all vehicles. Evan's Waterless Coolant is described as being the best coolant available for any vehicle, old and new. At approximately $45 gallon which equates to a $90 refill/changeover, it better be the best!

From information gleaned by reading reviews and articles, I wouldn't hesitate to use this coolant, assuming an entirely renewed or new condition cooling system.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on using this product?

We already recently ( about a month ago?) talked about water-less coolant this on another thread here on this forum.

Try the search feature to find information sometimes before asking? If you try it it will come right up! I looked first before responding to be sure.

Or maybe someone can guide you to that thread?

If memory serves---we had a thread about it not to long ago.

It would seem a "SEARCH" is in order.
