2001 pt cruiser wont fire at all

so I put the coil and had a good feeling about..but not even a sputter, so I took off the air intake,,so I tried spraying starting fluid don't the 4 port..

this is what I saw..the 2 cylinders on either end seem to be firing and the inner 2 cyliders are not..im ..im seeing what looks like smoke on the outer 1s and very little in the inner 2..so im thinking ,rings or lifters or electric..and I don't see 2 sets of rings going bad a 1 time

I repressure tested it and only hd about 50 lbs..so im soaking it in oil ..got them up to 100 or so..i have a new pressure tester and the way the put plugs in a cruiser im not getting a great seal on the tester..

so I plan on testing in the morning and re pressure test..my hope is that they are going to be near what they were last night..at least its giving some kind of direction to go now

I hope to make video of what im talking about in the morning

Your PT Cruiser employs a waste spark ignition system. This means two ignition coils, both contained within a single assembly, provide spark for the four cylinders. Coil No. 1 fires cylinders 1 and 4, and Coil No. 2 fires cylinders 2 and 3. Since the No. 2 coil fires two cylinders, the problem could reside within either of the two cylinders, or with the coil or coil control circuit, causing misfiring in both cylinders.

Just throwing this out there....I know you said your buddy is a 'super mechanic',but there are even 'super mechanics' that have gotten the timing marks off by even 1 tooth;The way it happens is this: When you line up both cams & the crank on their respective marks,then put the belt on,and go to tighten the tensioner,when it takes the slack out,it can turn the cams sometimes as much as 1-3 teeth,thus ending up out of time.
I'm just suggesting before throwing parts that may not be needed at it,set the crank to TDC,and check the straightline through the cam marks;What's it really gonna hurt to double-check,even just 1 more time for good measure.....Kinda like the carpenter's rule: "Measure twice...Cut once!"
