Default What is the spark plug gap for a 2005 2.4 turbo

This is a non-modified vehicle with a 156,000 miles and just had a valve job.

I adjust mine and my customers with a single ground electrode to .035-.042 maximum.

I tend to favor a gap slightly smaller than the "Chrysler recommended" one, especially for a turbo. Your particular driving style can play into it, though. An engine that sees a lot of high boost can benefit from a smaller gap because the denser air/fuel charge has slightly more resistance to spark. But if you're into hypermiling and low load starts at stop lights, a slightly wider gap could do ya. I'm not smart enough to pick a number for you but Nitro's suggestion is as good a place to try as any. A mechanic once told me that any amount of unburnt fuel that adds up to a tiny drop the size of a bb per mile will throw a trouble code.

I just used .038 on my 2005 GT convertible.
Runs great!

2003 PT Cruiser GT Panel Van Conversion as new day driver.

Have now owned 6 PT Cruisers = Me PT Crazy!
